 CARE MANAGEMENT
Throughout 2021, The ALS Association Connecticut Chapter (ALSA-CT) provided services to 381 people living with ALS (pALS) and their families. 29% of the people served were diagnosed this year, and were able to count on the Chapter to provide compassionate care, vital programs, and offer resources and services to improve their quality of life.

 CHILDREN AND FAMILY PROGRAMS
At ALSA-CT, we understand that ALS is a
family disease, that’s why we have specific programs and resources for children affected. Approximately 50 children in Connecticut have a parent living with ALS. In 2021, children received Summer Boxes, filled with therapeutic and fun activities to do with their family. We are a proud sponsor of Hope Loves Company, an overnight camp for children and grandchildren of someone living with ALS. Our extensive resource library has books for children of all ages to understand their emotions and cope with a diagnosis of ALS. We continue to collaborate with schools and families across the state to ensure that children are supported and understood during this difficult time.
